KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP)
in Denver, Colorado
Legal - Safe - Life Changing

Sometimes what’s needed isn’t more therapy—

it's a different kind of therapy. It's time to finally heal!

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) can be a powerful catalyst for change, especially when it feels like you’ve been circling the same issues for years. For many, KAP helps unlock new ways of seeing long-standing relational patterns, making it possible to show up differently in relationships—and in life.

When paired with the other therapies we offer—like group therapy, intensives, 1:1 EMDR and IFS therapy, and weekend workshops—KAP can be the thing that finally shifts what’s felt stuck after years of on-and-off therapy.

I'm honored to offer KAP in collaboration with Journey Clinical, a trusted organization that provides the medical foundation for this work. Their team handles screening, medical oversight, and personalized treatment planning, while we guide you through the therapeutic process: preparing, exploring, and integrating the insights that emerge.

KAP is more than just a new modality—it’s a new opportunity to access emotional clarity, experience breakthroughs, and find momentum in your healing.

If you’re curious about whether KAP could support your journey, more information is available below to help you explore if it’s the right fit.

What is ketamine?

Ketamine is a legal, safe, and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD.

Ketamine has rapidly acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hours after treatment and last for up to 2 weeks.

It works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors as well as by stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.

What does ketamine feel like?

Meditative posture focus

The effects of ketamine typically last about 45 minutes and are often experienced as gentle and expansive. Many people describe feeling a sense of distance from their usual thoughts or body sensations, which can create space for new insights and perspectives to emerge. This altered state of awareness may feel dreamlike, spacious, or deeply introspective.

During the experience, your ability to speak or move around will be reduced, so you'll be resting in a comfortable position, supported throughout the process.

Once the medicine's effects have worn off, we’ll use the remaining time in your session to help you begin making sense of what came up—no pressure to explain it all perfectly. Even when words are hard to find, clients often say the clarity or emotional shift they experienced feels meaningful and real.

Research shows that the positive effects of ketamine—both on mood and brain function—can last for up to two weeks after a session.

How does ketamine-assisted
psychotherapy work?

1. Initial FREE 20-min Consultation

The first step is scheduling a free 15-minute consultation with me. This is a chance for us to connect, explore your questions, and see if Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) feels like a good fit for you.

I bring both professional training and personal experience to this work. I’m a KAP-certified psychotherapist, and I’ve completed over 20 personal psychedelic KAP sessions myself. I know firsthand how powerful this modality can be when approached with care, intention, and support.

Before beginning any ketamine sessions, we’ll likely schedule at least five regular psychotherapy sessions together. This gives us time to build rapport and trust, and helps me better understand your story and therapeutic goals. That foundation allows us to make your ketamine experiences more meaningful, grounded, and integrated.

COST: FREE consultation & your normal therapy session rate or insurance co-pay will apply (billed as a regular session).

2. Initial Consultation with Journey Clinical:

You schedule an initial evaluation with a clinician from the Journey Clinical medical team via Zoom ($250 or they accept Cigna and Aetna insurance.) They will go over your medical and psychiatric history with you, provide education on the treatment, and determine if you are eligible for KAP.

If Journey Clinical’s medical team determines that you are eligible for KAP, they will develop a personalized Ketamine prescription and outcome monitoring plan for you.

Journey Clinical’s medical staff will write a ketamine prescription for you, and a small amount of oral ketamine will be sent to your home, enough for the first 2 KAP sessions. The medication cost is $85, which is enough for 2 sessions. The ongoing cost of the medication is $145 (enough for up to 6 sessions) if needed.

You will be taught to take your vitals and self-administer the ketamine lozenges by Journey Clinical’s medical team in advance of our KAP sessions.

COST: $250 or insurance co-pay (medical appointment) plus $85 for 2 sessions of medicine.

3. Preparation Sessions:

Once you receive your ketamine lozenges, we will schedule time together for our KAP preparation, dosing, and integration sessions. Preparation session(s) will be scheduled just like regular therapy sessions prior to the KAP dosing session. The goal of a preparation session(s) is to align on the process and set intentions for our KAP sessions together.

COST: Your normal therapy session rate or insurance co-pay will apply (billed as a regular session).

4. KAP Dosing Session:

A typical ketamine dosing session lasts between 2-3 hours and can take place in-person at our office.

During a dosing session, you will self-administer your ketamine lozenge in my office. You will be in a comfortable, reclining position wearing an eye mask and listening to calming music. Although a KAP dosing session may be largely an internal experience, I will be present with you the entire time to hold space and provide support as needed. You will need a ride home as you can't drive the rest of the day (this cannot be a rideshare).

COST: $475 (may be offset by your insurance).

5. Integration Sessions:

After our KAP dosing session, we will meet for multiple integration therapy sessions to review the memories, thoughts & insights that arose during your dosing session, and to prepare for the next dosing session.

COST: Your normal therapy session rate or insurance co-pay will apply (billed as a regular session).

6. Follow-up Consultations with Journey Clinical

After our first KAP session, Journey Clinical’s medical team schedules regular follow-ups with you to monitor outcomes and prescribe ketamine lozenge refills, as appropriate. The frequency of follow-ups depends on your unique treatment plan, at a minimum of once per quarter. The follow-up medical consultation with Journey Clinical is $150 or you can use your Cigna or Aetne insurance (at least 1X per quarter).

COST: $150 or insurance co-pay (medical appointment) plus $145 for 6 sessions of medicine.

Relational Trauma Therapist, MA, LPCC, NCC, EMDR

If you’re struggling with the pain of relational hurt, you’re not alone. These experiences can deeply impact your life and relationships, often in ways you may not even realize.

Relational wounds often stem from early life experiences of hurt, instability, or unmet emotional needs, leaving lasting effects on how you see yourself and connect with others.

Sometimes, these wounds aren’t obvious. They can come from subtle, indirect messages—that you’re a burden, too much, or not good enough.

Over time, your brain adapts to protect you from further hurt by creating distance, staying on guard, or fearing rejection, making relationships feel harder than they should.

I understand this deeply, not just from textbooks but from my own journey. Growing up with divorced parents, a mother who struggled with mental illness and addiction, and an unstable home environment shaped my understanding of relationships in ways I’ve had to heal from.

I believe therapy should be efficient and transformative—not a decades-long process of over-analyzing your pain. Your life is happening now and needs you fully present. That’s why I specialize in helping people like you work through these challenges with compassion, authenticity, and a focus on real change.
